Michigan State University
A world-class opportunity education as well as a Big Ten experience awaits those that come to Michigan State University. Founded in 1885 as the nation's first land-grant university, MSU was the first institution of higher learning in the United States to teach scientific agriculture.
With approximately 4,800 faculty and academic staff and a total enrollment surpassing 46,000; MSU is the largest single campus student body of any Michigan university and among the largest in the country.
The curriculum includes more than 200 programs of undergraduate and graduate studies in 14 degree granting colleges and Michigan State University – Detroit School of Law.
In athletics, varsity squads compete in 13 intercollegiate sports in a host of recognizable facilities including Spartan Stadium, the Jack Breslin Student Events Center, Munn Ice Arena, Jenison Field House and Kobs and Old College fields.
The Jack Breslin Student Events Center also hosts special events such as commencements, concerts, circuses, ice shows, banquets, conventions and trade shows.
Since opening in 1982 and preparing for a major addition and enhancement in 2008, The Wharton Center for Performing Arts has four venues that present a variety of cultural events and productions.
Lansing Community College
Lansing Community College (LCC) was established in 1957 to fulfill growing demand for specialized and technical education opportunities for the Greater Lansing's industrial workforce.

The Thomas M. Cooley Law School
The Thomas M. Cooley Law School is the largest law school in the country with over 12,000 graduates representing all 50 states. Cooley has three Michigan campuses in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Auburn Hills.
Located in Downtown Lansing, Cooley was founded in 1972 by a group of lawyers and judges lead by then Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, Thomas E. Brennan for whom the school's library is named. The School was named for Thomas McIntyre Cooley, a legal scholar and practicing attorney in the 19th century. Cooley is an independent, graduate college of law fully accredited by the American Bar Association in 1978.
Davenport University
Lansing's Davenport University is among 17 campuses, tow career centers and other attendance sites throughout Michigan, Indiana and online.
Davenport's multi-campus system provides students with all the advantages of a large university with the convenience of a small campus. Students can earn associate, bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of schools related to Business, Health, Technology and Legal studies through a multitude of flexible options like day, evening, weekend and online classes.
Founded in 1866 and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Davenport University has grown to be part of the largest private, non-profit university systems in Michigan.
