Robert B. Hughes, an advisor for Principal Financial Group, has been inducted into Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame.

Hughes has been an advisor for 51 years. He has been a member of the Chamber for 35 years and chair of the Chamber Board in 2005 and 2006. He was recognized for his many years of involvement in the industry where he has been a staunch proponent for licensing and legislative and advocacy issues.

Hughes is a past president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He has served on several local boards, including: Parkwood YMCA, Red Cross, chair emeritus of Sparrow Specialty Hospital, and various committees at MSU.
