Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Lansing School Board Endorsements
Newcomers Jeff Croff and Peter Spadafore, and Incumbent Nicole Ambruster Endorsed.

The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC) has announced its endorsements in the three races for Lansing School Board seats in 2011.  Endorsed candidates are:

                                                                                      Nicole Armbruster
                                                                                               Jeff Croff
                                                                                           Peter Spadafore

“We strongly believe that Nicole Armbruster, Peter Spadafore and Jeff Croff will bring a level of expertise and commitment that is needed to help the Lansing School district manage the critical challenges it faces,” said LRC-PAC chairman Kevin McKinney.  “These three candidates will also help restore civility and common sense, which have been lacking on the Lansing Board of Education in recent months.”

Nicole Armbruster was appointed to the Lansing School Board in January of 2011.  As a chair of the restructuring committee, she worked with parents and community stakeholders to strengthen the Lansing School district. Armbruster serves as vice president of the Lewton Elementary PTA and is an active member of the Lansing School District Parent and Community Advisory Council. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science, with a concentration in public policy, from Michigan State University.

Jeff Croff is currently vice president of marketing for Astera Credit Union.  He previously worked as community relations administrator for Peckham, and provided direct care for persons with disabilities for CEO Community Mental Health.  As a father of two students in the Lansing School District, Croff aims to bring a unifying voice to help board members set aside personalities, focus on the important issues, and make the necessary decisions that will benefit students.

Peter Spadafore is currently the assistant director of government relations for the Michigan Association of School Boards. He has also served as the associate director for the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association.  Spadafore is a lifelong resident of the capital region, and wishes to bring his expertise in school finance and education policy to the Lansing School Board. Spadafore studied social policy at Michigan State University.

LRC-PAC is the nonpartisan political action committee of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce representing 900 businesses in Lansing and over 1,400 businesses in the tri-county region. The LRC-PAC objective is to endorse candidates committed to the principles of free enterprise, economic growth and a pro-business philosophy.
