The registration deadline for The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s (LRCC) trip to China is August 16, 2012. The trip is from October 16-25, 2012 and will provide residents in the Greater Lansing region exposure to the culture and market and to numerous business opportunities that exist in China. The trip is targeted for Chamber members, but is open to all interested business and community leaders.
“This is a great opportunity for business leaders and community members to gain valuable knowledge and insight on Chinese culture and business
practices for global expansion,” said Brent Case, vice president, international business services at LRCC. “This is the chance to build a bridge between the people and businesses of China and Lansing and to make valuable connections with business leaders on a global scale.”
The Lansing to China all-inclusive trip will include visiting the historic cities of Beijing, Suzhou and Shanghai. Members will also get the chance to see top tourist destinations such as the Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City, Temple of the Heavens, Tiananmen Square and to visit factories to see how Chinese products are made. They will also be able to experience authentic Chinese cuisine, and explore global business and networking opportunities.
A team of executives from the Greater Lansing region recently returned from China, which allowed them to determine the best possibilities for the next venture. Since returning from China, the Lansing contingent has made multiple connections for mid-Michigan businesses interested in doing business in China, and for those already conducting trade with Chinese companies.
The cost of the trip for double occupancy will be priced at $2,388 for Chamber members, and includes airfare from Los Angeles, hotel accommodations, 17 meals, and tours. The Chamber will also arrange to have multiple international business experts talk with travelers about doing business in China, as well as optional cultural tutoring sessions provided by 7C Lingo for those who register.
