The Lansing region has seen more than $650 million in new business investment and over 3,500 new jobs created since 2006.
2010 Goals
The Chamber plans to expand its successful international program in the coming year. Look for more activity surrounding the FTZ and Port Lansing. Companies in the region and through the Midwest are already recognizing the enormous potential in utilizing Port Lansing to grow international trade opportunities.
LRCC's International Market Development Initiative will lead the coordination of international programs so that Chamber members can begin to import/export and start and/or increase the amount of global commerce occurring in the region.
The Chamber's proactive marketing strategy designed to assist businesses in the region leverage number of opportunities in government contracting through the PTAC should result in significant increases in contracts and jobs in 2010.
