tough question about kids at community event
the matter with kids today” is Highfields’ answer to an age-old
question and the topic of a presentation to the community Thursday, Feb. 27
from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., hosted by Fraser Trebilcock on the top floor of the
Boji Tower, at 124 W. Allegan in downtown Lansing.
"The question has
been asked for decades and we have all speculated on the answer,” says Tim
Monroe, Highfields vice president of clinical services. "Some might
argue that there’s a lot the matter with kids today, but perhaps we’re not
asking the right question.”
Monroe, a veteran
in the family counseling and social services field, will share insights from
more than 30 years working with at-risk families and children and helping them
solve behavioral issues of children and teenagers. Highfields operates
more than 15 programs in 11 mid-Michigan counties to help families address challenges
and create brighter futures for their children.
