plans biennial World Trade Global Logistics Conference

Experts will offer fresh approaches and strategies at Oct. 2 event

WHO:             A panel of world trade and logistics experts, including keynote speaker Andrew S. Doctoroff, senior adviser for transportation initiatives to Gov. Rick Snyder.

 WHAT:          Port Lansing is staging its biennial World Trade Global Logistics Conference to help support international trade by area businesses. Attendees will gain insights into best practices for supply chains and learn how to utilize local service providers in finance and logistics.

“We’ve assembled nationally recognized speakers to be a part of this Michigan conference,” said Gary Bartek, director of cargo & global logistics development for the Capital Region Airport Authority. “Attendees from across the state will come away with fresh approaches and strategies to solve some of the toughest world trade and logistic industry challenges.”

Bartek said the conference will particularly appeal to export sales managers, import managers, supply chain professionals, transportation and distribution professionals, NAFTA managers, agricultural producers and world trade professionals.

Cost to attend is $95, or $50 for students.
