To Be or Not To Be Fair?  Reasons Why Fairness Should Be at the Top of Every Manager's To-Do List

Dr. Russell Johnson, Assistant Professor of Management, Broad College of Business, Michigan State University

This session will focus on the critical role of fairness in organizations and the benefits that are accrued when employees view their managers and companies as fair.  Dr. Johnson will specifically focus on the role of managers and what they can do to enhance subordinates' perceptions of the fairness of their outcomes, procedures, and treatment.  Challenges of cultivating fairness will also be reviewed.
