A Celebration of Regional Growth Luncheon

The 2010 Celebration for Regional Growth will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Eagle Eye Golf Course & Banquet Facility in Bath, Mich.

In 2009, seven organizations that plan or have made major investments in the regional economy were recognized for their contributions at the fourth annual Celebration of Regional Growth Luncheon on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Eagle Eye Banquet Center.

In 2008, six businesses that made major investments in the regional economy were recognized for their contributions to the growth of the region through significant investments and the new jobs they brought to the community at the third annual Economic Development Celebration Luncheon, hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC).  More than 350 guests came to celebrate on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Eagle Eye Banquet Center. The presentation ended with a keynote presentation from CMS Energy CEO David Joos.

In 2007, seven businesses that made major investments in the regional economy were recognized for their contributions to the growth of the region through significant investments and the new jobs they brought to the community at the second annual Economic Development Celebration Luncheon, hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC).  The event was held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Eagle Eye Banquet Center and ended with a keynote presentation from Meijer, Inc President Mark Murray.

Companies honored at the Economic Development Celebration Luncheon include:

• Demmer Corporation

• Meijer, Inc

• Peckham, Inc

• MSU Federal Credit Union
• The Wieland-Davco Corporation

In 2006, eight regional businesses that contributed to the economic growth and advancement of the Lansing region were recognized as part of a celebration of regional growth during the 2006 Economic Development Luncheon, held on Thursday December 7, 2006 at the Eagle Eye Banquet Center. 

The Chamber also highlighted the region's 21st Century Jobs Fund awardees, auto suppliers, and outlined regional economic development strategies for 2007. The event ended with a keynote presentation from Troy Clarke, President of North American Operations for General Motors.

The businesses recognized during the Economic Development Luncheon have all launched major expansion projects, or made other significant contributions to the regional economy in 2006.  They include:
