Are We Making Progress Towards Regionalism?  Top Local Elected Officials to Provide Update at Lansing Economic Club Luncheon

Seven of the area's leading elected government officials will participant in a wide-ranging discussion on the status of regionalism during the next meeting of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Economic Club, which takes place as follows:

WILX-TV 10 news anchor Jason Colthorp will moderate the forum.

Last year, six of the panelists participated in a similar forum at which they shared their vision of regional cooperation.  The forum highlighted several success stories of efforts by local units of government to consolidate services and pursue joint initiatives with neighboring communities.  The panel also noted a number of opportunities that exists for further joint ventures.  How much progress is being made in regionalism?  What can be done to speed the pace of progress?  Those questions and more will be discussed in what promises to be a lively Economic Club forum.
