The Old Town Commercial Association (OTCA) is a diverse group of business, property owners and individuals united to promote the historic preservation, development and adaptive reuse of Lansing's Old Town.  OTCA was established in 1996 as a 501- C, 3 non-profit organization.
To help Old Town flourish, OTCA's current activities are structured in large part by program called Old Town Mainstreet. Old Town Mainstreet is a revitalization strategy to preserve Old Town's historic structures and strengthen its economic vitality. Our strategy is to work on four issues simultaneously: promotion, economics, design and organization. Mainstreet was conceived as a partnership among businesses and community members, the City of Lansing, the National Mainstreet Center (a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation) and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). Three committees; Design, Economic and Promotions assist in furthering our mission to facilitate the socioeconomic development of Lansing's Old Town area through the promotion of historic preservation, business recruitment and community outreach.

In my position, I am the Executive Director, overseeing all aspects of the Old Town Commercial Association, including acting as Old Town's spokesperson, city liaison, mediator and more. I report to an eleven-member board of directors and have one full-time staff person working under me.
