Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan promotes Hurst to Director of Development and Public Relations

Lansing, Mich. - The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan recently promoted Carolyn (Cieciwa) Hurst to serve as its new Director of Development and Public Relations. Hurst previously held the position of marketing and event coordinator and executive assistant to the executive director and has been with the House since 2012.

Hurst is a Michigan State University graduate with a degree in marketing and a second major in agribusiness management. She has experience in marketing and event planning, and has been involved in several fundraising and special events with the House since 2012.

In her new role at The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan, Hurst will use her experience to oversee events, campaigns and development.

Hurst is also responsible for fund development, marketing, managing print and creative materials, website content updates, tracking donations and corresponding with vendors, committee members and sponsors. Hurst will serve as a member of the leadership team at the House.

"Carolyn brings energy, experience and a unique perspective to the House. She has been a valuable asset to us and we expect great things from her in the future,” says Executive Director Matt Dugener. "We know she’ll be just as successful in her new role as she was in her past efforts here.”

The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan serves families from around the state and beyond who have a child in one of the local hospitals or clinics. It has served thousands of families by providing them a warm and caring home-away-from-home where they can have home cooked meals, a place for siblings to play and a comfortable space to sleep close to the hospital room where they spend countless hours with an ill child.
