Lansing is #2 in United States for Multifamily Occupancy Rate

Multifamily Executive Magazine ranks Lansing at 97% Occupancy

LANSING, MI – Lansing has ranked at the top of yet another national best list, this time for having one of the highest multifamily housing occupancy rates in the country. The metro of Lansing boasts a 97% occupancy rate for multifamily rental housing. The list was published by Multifamily Executive Magazine, an online magazine which provides apartment executives with industry news, design ideas, and business strategy.

Lansing ranks second on the list behind Naples, FL which has a 97.5% occupancy rate. According to Axiometrics, the Dallas-based research firm that conducted the study, this year is expected to bring more growth to the top performing metro areas.

"This report again affirms that Lansing gets the global economy and has made tremendous strides in building a place conducive to young professional living needs,” said Bob Trezise, President and CEO for LEAP. "Simply put, you cannot move to downtown Lansing right now – the apartment market is that tight and mixed-use buildings are that under built. Lansing is hot, once again, and places once more on a national stage.”
