Upcoming 5-year plan to guide housing improvements in Mid-Michigan

Greater Lansing Housing Coalition spearheads analysis and recommendations to increase affordable housing

In Mid-Michigan, the housing struggles people are facing will no longer go unnoticed. More than 61,351 of Tri-County families and individuals do not have access to affordable housing. The Greater Lansing Housing Coalition (GLHC), in coordination with the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, is developing a 5-year Fair and Affordable Housing Plan under the Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program. Under the guidance of the GLHC, the MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction will be conducting a study to provide an accurate analysis of the current housing stock and the programs in place that support affordable housing development and redevelopment.

This is an initiative from the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition addressing a problem that affects many families, individuals and seniors in the Mid-Michigan community. We would sincerely appreciate any promotion and/or coverage of this upcoming fair and affordable housing plan. Attached is the news release, which provides full details. We would be more than happy to provide additional information as well as photos. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts in covering this.
