Tuesday, March 18, 2014

Reception begins at 5:30 p.m.

Program begins at 7:00 p.m.

Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center

The annual event, which is set for Tuesday, March 18, presents business leaders an opportunity to network with state lawmakers and discuss the public policy initiatives most important to their businesses.

“The Legislative Dinner is a great opportunity for a two-way conversation between the business community and state lawmakers,” said Kristin Beltzer, LRCC senior vice president, government relations and public affairs. “With 2014 being a state election year, there is heightened interest in how the legislature and Governor can come together to address key issues.”

Governor Rick Snyder’s budget proposal is working its way through a series of legislative hearings at the State Capitol. Among the issues likely to be addressed at the Legislative Dinner are the Governor’s proposal to increase funding for K-12 and higher education, proposals for tax relief and what form that should take, another effort to fund repairs to Michigan’s crumbling infrastructure and state aid for the bankrupt City of Detroit.

The 2014 Legislative Dinner will take place on Tuesday March 18, from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. Sponsorship packages are available and individual tickets are $80 and a table of eight is $630.  Reservations can be completed at www.lansingchamber.org.
