BBQ fundraiser Slated May 1
to help build home for Lansing family
LANSING, Mich. — The Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing and Habitat for Humanity Lansing will fire up the grill May 1 for a barbecue fundraiser that will help build a home for a local family.
The Texas-style barbecue fundraiser from King of the Grill runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 2398 Jolly Road, Suite 400, in Okemos. The proceeds benefit the upcoming Home Builders Blitz, sponsored by both organizations.
For the Home Builders Blitz, Habitat for Humanity, local builders and volunteers come together to build a home June 9-15 for a local family. The south Lansing family has dreamed of owning a home that accommodates their disabled children as well as provides stability for their family.
To make this home possible, Habitat for Humanity Lansing and the Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing are looking for support from the local community. All donations are tax deductible.
To RSVP, call the HBA at 517-323-3254 by April 25. For more information or to make a donation, visit http://www.habitatlansing.org.
