New partnership provides members with a level of professional recruitment that goes beyond a normal staffing vendor interaction
LANSING, MI—Capital Area Manufacturing Council (CAMC) and HRU Technical Resources (HRU) have partnered to offer unique recruitment solutions that are the first of their kind in the Midwest.
HRU, a contingent staffing firm, will offer traditional contingency and contract staffing services for all CAMC members at a reduced rate, combined with their new 1% Contingent Model.
Traditionally, when a new employee is hired via a contingent staffing firm, the employer is expected to pay around 20 percent of their first year’s salary after only a 60-day guarantee. The 1% Model will allow CAMC clients to pay a one percent fee over a span of 20 months, and, if an employee hired using this model leaves for any reason, the client will no longer be held responsible to make payments. This ensures that HRU is providing each CAMC client with phenomenal new hires, and helps companies keep great talent within their organization.
Another method HRU will use to attract superior employees is the option of a full benefits package. All HRU contractors will have the opportunity enjoy traditional Blue Cross and Blue Shield health insurance, dental and vision insurance options, paid vacations, etc.
“This partnership is going to guarantee CAMC members a discount on recruitment services for those hard to fill positions. HRU also brings strong experience to the table, with more than 90 percent of their placements in the manufacturing industry,” said Michelle Cordano, the executive director of CAMC, “Whether a project is short-term, long-term, or employers simply wish to test-drive an employee before making a full commitment, this arrangement will help provide members with quality associates.
