LRCC and Grand River Connection Look to Honor the Region’s Young Professionals at 10 Over the Next Ten Awards
(Lansing, MI) -- For the eighth consecutive year, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) and Grand River Connection (GRC) will recognize the Lansing region’s top young professionals who are expected to contribute significantly to our community over the next ten years at the 10 Over the Next Ten Awards held September 23 at the University Club of Lansing.
“We are excited to again partner with the Lansing Regional Chamber to recognize the next crop of young professionals who will become the business and community leaders of tomorrow,” said Brian Gallagher, President of Grand River Connection.
The recipients of the 10 Over the Next Ten Awards are selected based on their professional achievement, community involvement and personal success. Applicants are required to be 35 years old or younger, professionally centered in the tri-county area (Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties) and with a minimum of two years working in the Mid-Michigan Community.
“Attracting and retaining talent is a key component to the Greater Lansing region’s continued growth and diversification of our economy,” said Tim Daman, president and CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber. “We are pleased to report that over 85% of our past recipients, now numbering 70 individuals, are still located in the tri-county region and are continuing to make positive economic and social contributions in their communities.”
The LRCC and GRC are soliciting a call for nominations from the business community and the tri-county region at large. To nominate a young professional under the age of 35 (and who also meets the criteria listed above); please contact either the Lansing Regional Chamber or GRC to acquire a nomination form. Nominations are due back to the Chamber by August 22, 2014.
