LAFCU welcomes Bill Clifton, Julie Roll
LANSING, Mich. – LAFCU has announced the addition of Bill Clifton as senior programming analyst and Julie Roll as network administrator.
Clifton, of Marshall, is responsible for new product implementation and application development and support.
Roll, of Charlotte, is responsible for maintaining the telecommunications and network operations for LAFCU headquarters and its seven branch offices.
“We welcome these experienced IT professionals as LAFCU continues to embrace state-of-the-art technology in delivering financial services to our members,” said Brian Wixson, chief information officer of LAFCU.
Bill Clifton brings more than 25 years of information technology (IT) support experience to his new position. He has worked with LAFCU as a consultant since 1991, including between 1998 and 2008 when he owned and operated SofTouch Consulting Services that specialized in technical support for credit unions. Other companies he has worked for include Aftech, of Malvern, Pennsylvania, and Michigan companies Guardian Building Products and Midbrook Industrial Washers.
Clifton is president of the Greater Battle Creek Ice Hockey Association and is also a USA Hockey-certified youth coach.
While earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in business management from Park College, Clifton completed four years of active service as a computer specialist for the U.S. Army. He is a native of Leslie.
Julie Roll was most recently the network administrator for Eaton Federal Savings Bank where she managed all aspects of IT and telecommunications. Other previous employers include MSU Federal Credit Union, MicroTech Services and Eubulus Computer Services.
A member of the Seven Islands chapter of the American Business Women’s Association in Grand Ledge, she is the chapter’s secretary and has held active roles on the marketing, technology and Michigan bankers association network and operations committees. The Charlotte native is also a community volunteer in support of local food banks, shelters and groups such as Girl Scouts of the United States of America and the Capital Area United Way.
Roll earned an associate degree in CIS networking at Baker College of Owosso. She is certified in SANS GIAC Security Essentials GSEC, Microsoft, Cisco and several HP printers.
