Renovations to improve experience at Impression 5 Science Center

LANSING, Mich. Impression 5 Science Center is now open to the public after three weeks of renovations to the main riverside entrance and creation of new staircase and ADA-compliant elevator ramp. While there’s still a lot of renovating going on, visitors can now access the second floor exhibit space with ease and a lot more natural light. The window openings have transformed an old, dark space to a lively and welcoming one.

Throughout the fall the Science Center will continue to make further headway to open up the remaining portion of 9,000 square feet on the main floor. This will enable access to the Science Center from a new north-side entrance, soon to be visible from Michigan Avenue.

2014 has been an exciting year for Impression 5 Science Center, and 2015 will prove to have just as much momentum—especially with the opening of Chew on This!, a new exhibit exploring oral health and science of the mouth. This phase of renovation is just a first step in what will be a transformation of the Science Center—not only in bricks and mortar—but a vastly improved guest experience.

Impression 5 Science Center is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. For admission prices and more information visit impression5.org.
