Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Announces Endorsements in November General Election

The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (LRC- PAC) has announced the following endorsements in races in the November 4th  general election:

Michigan Governor

  • Rick Snyder

23rd District State Senate:

  • Curtis Hertel, Jr.

State Representative:

  • Sam Singh (69th district)
  • Andy Schor (68th district)
  • Tom Leonard (93rd district)
  • Tom Barrett (71st district)

Lansing Community College:

  • Andrew Abood
  • Steve Hicks
  • Kris Nicholoff

Lansing School Board

  • Bryan Beverly

Clinton County Commission

  • Robert Showers (5th district)
  • Ken Mitchell (4th district)

Eaton County Commission

  • Jeremy Whittum (14th district)
  • Wayne Ridge (11th district)

LRC-PAC made a strategic decision to not endorse candidates in races for the Ingham County Commission, citing concerns over a lack of leadership demonstrated by Commissioners. LRC-PAC directors were disappointed that the Ingham County Commission voted to ask for a Parks Millage without having a plan for how the increased tax revenue would be spent.

“Taxpayers are owed an explanation,” said Kristin Beltzer, senior vice president for government relations and public policy for the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “The Commission needs to come up with something concrete they can present to the public. We expect stronger leadership from our public officials.”

LRC-PAC is the nonpartisan political action committee of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce representing over 1,100 businesses in the tri-county region. The LRC-PAC objective is to endorse candidates committed to the principles of free enterprise, economic growth and a pro-business philosophy.

The mission of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) is to be the preeminent business advocacy organization in the Greater Lansing region by collaborating for economic growth, creating new opportunities for our members and upholding pro-business ideals through the advancement of sound public policy. More information about LRCC and its programs and services can be found on any of its social media platforms, including www.lansingchamber.org, Facebook, Twitter (@Lansing Chamber), LinkedIn and YouTube.
