EAST LANSING, Mich. ― Robert Post is an energetic, physical comedian equipped with an equally theatrical mind. His “one-man show” includes mime, juggling, acting and plenty of satire. His work has been featured on PBS in an award-winning special, Robert Post – In Performance. His one-man show was presented by Broadway’s New Victory Theater to rave reviews. Post was last at Wharton Center in 2010 and performed to a packed house. Tickets to Post Comedy Theatre featuring Robert Post are on sale now online at whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office at Wharton Center, or by calling 1-800-WHARTON.
Post Comedy Theatre is a family-friendly show, encouraging children to use their imagination. From meticulously crafted routines to freestyle improvisations, Post keeps audiences riveted on what he’s doing (and wondering how he’s doing it).
Robert Post’s engaging shows have been seen in concert halls, street corners, dinner theaters, commercials, and festivals. Robert Post grew up in Columbus, Ohio, but his shows have made it to stages in Mexico, Japan, and Russia. Inspired by classic vaudeville juggling and specialty acts featured on the Ed Sullivan Show, Post utilizes his theatrical mind in his laugh-out-loud style of physical comedy. An alumnus of the Affiliate Artists program, Post continues to wow both crowds and critics, receiving numerous awards and fellowships from such organizations as the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council for the Arts, and the Ohio Arts Council.
