MICapitalRegion.com is Your Regional Dashboard, Lansing Area!

See an easy-to-use, quick analysis of the Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham tri-county region in one spot.

Lansing, October 27, 2014:  The Regional Prosperity Initiative, a grant awarded from the State of Michigan, has yielded two amazing products this past week—first the CATALYST: Regional Prosperity Project event that took the Lansing Center by storm this past Tuesday, October 21, and now MICapitalRegion.com.

Six prominent organizations—consisting of Capital Area Michigan Works!, The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Lansing Community College, Michigan State University and the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission—joined forces in an effort to establish a five-year Economic Prosperity Plan; to create the Greater Lansing Regional Prosperity Initiative.

The Regional Prosperity Initiative team invited the community to participate in an event connecting entrepreneurs, business owners, young professionals, and regional leaders from Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties to be a catalyst for positive, rapid, and sustained progress toward prosperity for our region. The event was a success with over 275 people in attendance, all of whom worked together on a prosperity work plan. Additionally, attendees got to see a sneak peak of MICapitalRegion.com and its prosperity-based regional data.

MICapitalRegion.com shows community progress in the tri-county area through four pillars: Economic and Financial Health, Education and Talent, Health and Environment, as well as Culture and Lifestyle. Information under each pillar will help guide the work of the region’s key organizations which work to build prosperity. The website will also be the home to our five-year Economic Prosperity Plan, expected to be completed by the end of 2014.

The website showcases the most important facets of our region’s prosperity and will be a resource the entire region can utilize. Please visit MICapitalRegion.com today to gauge where the Lansing community is and envision where you, as an important member of our community, would like to be in the future.
