Michigan Office Solutions (MOS) giving away over $50,000 in office technology equipment – and other prizes – to deserving nonprofits
DETROIT, MICHIGAN (January 12, 2015) – Michigan Office Solutions (MOS) is inviting nonprofits in the Metro Detroit Area to enter the 1st annual MOS Make My NonProfit Run Better contest. The main goal of the contest is to provide nonprofit organizations in Metro Detroit the opportunity to raise awareness for their nonprofit organization. Along with a chance to win an office technology makeover valued at up to $25,000. The first runner-up will receive office technology equipment valued at up to $15,000. The second runner-up receives office technology equipment valued at up to $10,000. MOS will work with the winning organizations to conduct a MOS 360o Assessment. This process will help MOS professionals to understand the organizations current environment. Together, we will co-author solutions and provide tools to help the organizations run better and more efficiently. MOS professionals will educate and continue to work with the organization as it changes and grows to support the needs of its constituents.
“In working with nonprofits we realize how hard it is for them to raise awareness let alone, find the money to purchase, install and manage office equipment and technology,” said Ralph Slider, President of MOS. “It is a privilege to be able to host this contest and bring awareness to the needs of the community. In addition, MOS is excited to announce its partnership with Microsoft for this contest. The Microsoft Store at Somerset Collection is committed to helping nonprofits. “We are excited to partner with the Michigan Office Solutions Make My NonProfit Run Better Contest and as part of our commitment, we will provide the latest Microsoft Office Suite, Cloud service and some of the latest Windows tablets and hardware. We know the right software is just one part of improving your organization's efficiency and effectiveness,” said Shy Averett, Community Development and Events for Microsoft. Microsoft will also provide support, educational training, and tools on their products that can help the winning organizations to evaluate their technology needs and get the most out of the software.
MOS is inviting all 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the Metro Detroit area to participate (for a detailed list of qualifying zip codes and criteria please visit http://www.mos-xerox.com/Detroit). You may enter the MOS Make My NonProfit Run Better contest at www.mos-xerox.com/Detroit. Registration for the contest is now open and will close at 5 p.m. on February 7. MOS will then ask the public to go online and vote for the nonprofit they think has the biggest need for an office technology makeover.
