Greater Lansing Community and Twistars Welcome Gymnasts from Across North America for National Invitational, January 9-11
LANSING, Mich. – The Greater Lansing Sports Authority (GLSA) is pleased to announce that Twistars Gymnastics Club at the Summit Sports and Ice Complex will host the 2015 Twistars Gymnastics Invitational, Cirque de Stellae (Circle of Stars) event this weekend, January 9 – 11, 2015.
The national invitational event will bring over 1,700 gymnasts from across the US and Canada to the Greater Lansing area for the 3-day competition. As the first major invitational meet of the season, top gymnasts from clubs across the country will be in attendance.
“John Geddert and Twistars have been holding this well-respected event since 1985 and it seems to grow stronger each year,” said Mike Price of the Greater Lansing Sports Authority. “As one of the top gymnastics clubs in the country, Twistars is an excellent host and Greater Lansing is a top notch host city. We hope all those in town for the competition will also explore our many restaurants, shopping areas and entertainment options.”
The event is also a fundraising opportunity for the Gymnastics Doctor Autism Foundation. The Foundation’s philosophy is that all children are intended to experience the wholeness of life and those that assist in this process become more whole themselves.
