Local Accountants Receive Promotions

Lansing, MI — The certified public accounting and consulting firm of Maner Costerisan is pleased to announce the promotions of Sherrie Blankenship, CPA and Diana Mitchell, CPA.

“The partners of Maner Costerisan are both excited and proud of Sherrie and Diana for their accomplishments,” said Jeffrey Stevens, CPA, CITP, and President of Maner Costerisan. “They each have shown a tremendous amount of professionalism and dedication to our clients, and I am confident they will be successful in their new roles.”

Blankenship joined Maner Costerisan in 2008.  As a senior manager in the firm’s audit department, she primarily works with education and nonprofit entities, including service organizations, trade associations and religious organizations. 

Blankenship received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Central Michigan University. She is a member of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).  In addition, Blakenship is a board member for Happendance and treasurer for Ingham County Sobriety Court Foundation. She grew up in Fraser, Michigan and now currently resides in Grand Ledge, with her husband, Aaron, and their two daughters.

Mitchell joined Maner Costerisan in 2013. As a senior manager, she provides tax compliance, tax planning, and business advisory services for both individual and business clients with a specialty in services related to fiduciary accounting, trust and estate planning, and trust and estate tax compliance. In addition to her client responsibilities, Mitchell is involved with internal training and is a member of the firm tax department’s strategic planning and tax training teams.

Mitchell graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She is a member of the AICPA, the MICPA, the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council (GLEPC) and the Michigan State University Alumni Association. Mitchell resides in Haslett, Michigan with her two sons and her husband, Josh.
