YMCA Offers Free Day at the Y for Families on April 25

Healthy Kids Day event promotes healthy, happy kids

LANSING, MI –

WHAT: YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing’s Healthy Kids Day

WHO: Parents and children can enjoy a free day at the YMCA. They’ll find fun, engaging activities and an opportunity to learn about the YMCA’s summer camps. They’ll also learn all the other benefits and value the Y has to offer.

WHEN: 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25, 2015

(DeWitt, Oak Park, Parkwood, Westside locations)

1 to 3 p.m. at Camp Pa-Wa-Pi in Williamston

WHERE: The event will take place at the following YMCA locations:

  • Camp Pa-Wa-Pi 3235 E. Grand River, Williamston, 48895
  • DeWitt: 13161 Schavey Road, DeWitt, 48820
  • Oak Park: 900 Long Blvd., Lansing, 48911
  • Parkwood: 2306 Haslett Road, East Lansing, 48823
  • Westside: 3700 Old Lansing Road, Lansing, 48917

COST: Free and open to the public

DETAILS: Join the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing for their annual Healthy Kids Day. This free community event is designed to get kids moving and learning, and encourage families to live healthier lifestyles.

Activities include: Arts and crafts projects, healthy snacks, program demonstrations, tips from Y staff about keeping kids and families safe, facility tours, membership promotions and summer camp specials. Camp directors will be on hand to answer questions and to register kids for camp.

For generations, YMCA Camps have provided children with rewarding experiences and a lifetime of memories. The YMCA offers a variety of summer day camps at locations throughout the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing and at its Mystic Lake Camp YMCA, located in Lake, MI.
