Weinfeld, Hooper and Berdan to Serve Three-Year Terms



EAST LANSING--The Board of Directors of economic and community development catalyst, Prima Civitas, re-elected its CEO Arnold Weinfeld as Chair, and Allan Hooper, Executive Director of the Jackson Anchor Initiative as Secretary at its recent annual meeting.The Board also elected Mark Berdan, Executive Director of Northern Transformation Corporation as Treasurer.


Prima Civitas also reappointed to its 13-member Board of Directors Kathy Conklin, Executive Director of the Saginaw County Business & Education Partnership, and Pat Gillespie, President of the Gillespie Group, both for three-year terms.


Other sitting Board members include Fay Beydoun, CEO of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce; Christine Geith, PhD, assistant provost and executive director of MSU Global Knowledge and Learning Innovations; Virginia Haas, retired MSU director of community relations; Steve Kim, managing partner at RKJ Legal; Marv Pichla, PhD, CEO of Inspiring Innovations; Beverly Walker-Griffea, PhD, president of Mott Community College; Steve Webster, co-executive director of the Turkish Resource Center of North America, and Dennis West, president of Northern Initiatives.
