Held annually, the CMPRSA PACE Awards are mid-Michigan’s highest honor of public relations activities and are awarded to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness.

“It’s an absolute honor to not only be recognized by our peers, but to showcase the incredible work our clients do each and every day in the community,” said Kate Snyder, Piper & Gold principal strategist and owner. “I’m proud of our team and humbled to represent organizations that make such a difference.”
In addition to the awards, Piper & Gold has brought on a new team member and capabilities in Kayla Putz.

Putz, a former Piper & Gold intern and assistant strategist, joins the Piper & Gold team after recently
graduating from Michigan State University, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in professional writing and specializations in public relations and editing and publishing. A former intern with Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, Putz now specializes in writing and event planning. She also served as social media coordinator for Beta Phi Fraternity for women and was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America.

“Kayla’s a great asset for the P&G team,” said Snyder. “Her planning savvy and diverse writing experience allow us to go the extra couple of miles for our clients.”

With an emphasis on nonpartisan government organizations, nonprofits, associations and small business, Piper & Gold focuses on traditional public relations with a digital twist. The agency assists clients with communications strategy and planning, media relations, social media and serving as an extension of its clients' teams.
