Micro-Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Lansing, Mich. Paul Schmidt, production director of UnoDeuce Multimedia, has been named the 2015 Micro-Entrepreneur of the year by the Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan. The Micro-Entrepreneur Award is given to individuals who have successfully completed the Entrepreneur Institute’s Business Plan Basics course and then go on to demonstrate professional success and community volunteerism. The Entrepreneur Institute’s objective is to provide small businesses and entrepreneurs with access to capital, business plan development training and networking opportunities.
“He was honored with award because of his commitment to community, integrity and providing enjoyable quality service to his clients,” Denise Peek, executive director of the Entrepreneur Institute, said. Schmidt received the award on June 4, 2015 at the Rise and Shine Breakfast, an annual event hosted by the Entrepreneur Institute.
Schmidt was completely surprised by the honor, saying “I was shocked and grateful that my hard work is being recognized. It was also a really nice birthday present!” In addition to participating in professional development and training the UnoDeuce Multimedia owner also volunteers his time with a number of community organizations and events.
UnoDeuce Multimedia is located in Lansing’s REO Town and specializes in creative video storytelling for small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
“Paul is the absolute best person to tell your organization’s story”, says Greater Lansing Housing Coalition’s Executive Director, Julie Powers. “I’ve worked with Paul for five years now and I can’t think of anyone who deserves this award more than he.”
