Astera Credit Union Announces New President and CEO, Martin R. Carter
LANSING, Mich.—Astera Credit Union has announced Martin R. Carter will join the organization as president and chief executive officer effective July 7, 2015. Carter’s passion for the credit union movement and his depth of knowledge will bring positive growth and ongoing success to Astera.

Carter brings more than 30 years of credit union industry experience to this position. His expertise spans many areas, including: branch operations, marketing and business development, human resources and training, compliance and risk management, and investment services.
Carter previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Parkside Credit Union in Livonia, Mich., beginning in August, 2012.
Carter attended Walsh College in Troy, Mich. where he earned his master’s degree in finance and his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
