Legacy Shave Pitches Winning Business Ideaat The Hatching
LEAP and Spartan Innovations host monthly business pitch competition, July 30
LANSING, MI – The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) and Spartan Innovations hosted The Hatching, the monthly business pitch competition event on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Dublin Square in East Lansing. Local entrepreneurs and supporters attended the event to cheer on the next big idea they’d like to see hatch in Lansing.
The winning idea was Legacy Shave, an evolutionary shaving product that combines the historical barber shop badger brush shaving experience with today’s modern shaving cream/gel cans. Legacy Shave is a shaving brush accessory that attaches
universally to today’s shaving cream/gel cans.
“Legacy Shave is a great product that enhances the normal grooming activity that is done millions of times a week … shave! Their product can easily be produced in the Lansing region and shipped nationwide. Perfect example of innovative thinking for
a common activity,” said Tony Willis, director of New Economy Division at LEAP.
The Hatching is part of a community-wide effort to support local entrepreneurs and make the Lansing region a great place to start a business. This event helps move new, local business ideas from concept to reality and provides winners with funding, legal
support, market research, office space and more.
“The variety of new ideas and creative ways local entrepreneurs seek to create jobs and solve everyday challenges is remarkable,” said Paul Jaques, director of Student and Community Engagement at Spartan Innovations. “Every month, both the presenters and the audience create a stronger community for supporting success and failure, making the Lansing area a great place to launch a startup.”
