Sparrow offers free series onreducing risk of senior falls

LANSING, Mich. – Millions of older adults are treated every year in emergency departments across the nation for non-fatal falls, costing tens of billions of dollars and untold stress on families.

The Senior Fall Prevention Series will inform and educate seniors and those who care for them about simple ways to reduce the risks and safeguard against tragedy.

The series begins with a Lunch with a Doctor program: “Better Bone Health: The Right Moves, Meds, and Meals for Staying Strong” on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Room, Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, 219 South Harrison Road, East Lansing.
