 LifeTech Academy Invites Prospective Learners to an Open House, Aug. 20

LANSING, MI – Is your child registered for school inthe fall? Are you looking for a different kind of school that makes education exciting and more relevant to your child’s future? LifeTech Academy, a blendedmodel cyber public charter school based in Lansing, Mich., would like to invite all prospective Learners and their families to an open house this Thursday, Aug. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.

7 to 8 p.m. – Interactive activities for Learners to engage with strategic partners 

Learn more about LifeTech Academy and its unique, real-world, hands-on, project-based learning experiences for grades 7 to 12. Engage with LifeTech Academy’s strategic partners — local businesses and nonprofit organizations in STEM, leadership, hi-tech, skilled and professional trades — in interactive activities to help prospective Learners determine what projects may be of interest to them as they consider enrolling for the upcoming school year.

LifeTech Academy strategic partners include: Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, AKEA Web Solutions, Dale Carnegie Training, Douglas J Aveda Institute, Greater Michigan Construction Academy, Information Technology Empowerment Center, LAFCU, M3 Group, Potter Park Zoo, U.S. Marines, Omega Youth Empowerment and the Michigan State University Wharton Center for the Performing Arts.

During the evening, attendees will be able to enroll their child and enjoy pizza, t-shirts, backpacks and other fun giveaways. Every friend an enrolled child brings between grades 7 and 12 will be entered into a drawing for a gift card. 

LifeTech Academy is a blended-model cyber public charter school that utilizes strategic partnerships with businesses and nonprofits to make education relevant to each Learner’s interests. As the only 100 percent project-based learning school in the state of Michigan, Learners are given opportunities to experiment with their learning and develop at a pace that is appropriate for each individual.
