Sparrow Physicians to discuss breast health during Oct. 1 community event

LANSING, MI – In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the public is invited to hear from Sparrow Physicians as they present “Healthy breasts at every age.”
The free public forum will discuss dense breasts and surgical and non-surgical treatments for breast cancer, from initial diagnoses through care completion, followed by a chance to ask questions.
The event will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, 219 S. South Harrison Avenue, East Lansing.

The Sparrow Breast Cancer Clinic is located within Sparrow’s Cancer Center, 1215 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing. The clinic’s multidisciplinary team of specialists includes a breast surgeon, clinical trials specialist, genetics counselor, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, pathologist, and breast cancer support group volunteer. The team also works with our partners at the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
