Grand River Connection elects its 2015-2016 Board of Directors

 

Lansing, MI—Grand River Connection (GRC), a young professionals organization, has elected its 2015-2016 Board of Directors. With a veteran board, GRC welcomes one new board member, Stephanie Collier as sponsorship and finance chair. Below is a full list of board members:

 

President: Brian Gallagher is an attorney with the Employee Benefits practice group at Fraser Trebilcock.  He also serves on the boards of Highfields and the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. 

 

Secretary: Pete Brown is an attorney at The Gallagher Law Firm, PLC in East Lansing.   Pete is a civil litigation attorney specializing in real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and creditor’s rights.  Pete frequently represents financial institutions, businesses, and individuals in a variety of real estate and commercial disputes. 

 

Treasurer: Olivia Edgar is a CPA who works as a Supervisor in the Finance Department at Accident Fund Holdings, Inc.  She graduated with her BA in Accounting and her MS in Accounting from Michigan State University. Olivia enjoys volunteering throughout the greater Lansing area and spending time with friends and family.

 

Vice President and Chair of Networking Programs: Tyler Dyke is a securities examiner for the State of Michigan where he examines and investigates state-registered broker-dealers and investment advisers with assets under management of up to $100 million. Tyler enjoys being involved in his community. He serves as an At-Large chairperson on the Michigan Pride board of directors, as a member of the planning committees for the Lansing Happy Hour Club and Old Town's Festival of the Moon and Sun, and as a Firekeeper with The Firecracker Foundation.

 

Vice President and Chair of Special Events: Andrea Ragan is the executive director of the Capital Area IT Council, responsible for providing resources to IT employers in the greater Lansing area. She currently serves as a board member for ITEC. She is a Northern Michigan native and received her Bachelor's degree in Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies at Michigan State University and has been a Lansing enthusiast ever since.

 

Chair of Communications: Hannah Leibinger, the account strategist at Piper & Gold Public Relations, Hannah uses her organization and project management skills to complete client projects. As the former communications assistant for Capital Area Michigan Works!, Hannah managed social media and digital media, wrote weekly columns, assisted media relations by creating and distributing media materials, monitored media outlets and developed marketing reports. Hannah is a recent graduate from Michigan State University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Specialization in Public Relations.

 

Chair of Sponsorship and Finance: Stephanie Collier is a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual where she specializes in strategic non-qualified plan strategies for business and medical professionals.  She has a BA in Finance from Michigan State University and is an avid state fan.  Go Green!  A native of Greater Lansing, Stephanie also enjoys being active and volunteering with the Junior League of Lansing, Rotary, and Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce.

 

Chair of Membership: Katherine Becsey is the deputy communications director at the Michigan State Senate. She has a wide range of experience and skills from writing press releases and marketing materials, to fundraising events to running community outreach programs and efforts for Wolverine Pipe Line Company and Ice Mountain Natural Spring Water. Katherine is a graduate of Michigan State University with a master’s degree in Public Relations and a bachelor’s degree in Advertising. 

 

Chair of Media: Andrea Kerbuski is an account executive at Martin Waymire. She also runs a fashion blog and works with brands including Dodge, Kohl’s, Dove and more. She has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and natural resources communications from Michigan State University and is currently working on her master’s degree in integrated marketing communications at Eastern Michigan University.
