Piper & Gold Public Relations Welcomes Two Staff Members

Piper & Gold Public Relations, a boutique agency in Old Town, Lansing, celebrated the new year with two new additions to the team—Account Strategist Allie McLary and Creative Strategist Briana McNamara.

McLary was previously the communications and digital content coordinator at the Michigan Fitness Foundation and digital content coordinator at Capital Area District Libraries. She currently serves on the PACE Awards Committee of the Public Relations Society of America Central Michigan Chapter. A graduate of Central Michigan University, she joins the team after working five years in the nonprofit sector.

McLary is eager to continue her career in the Lansing area. In her new role as account strategist, McLary provides additional project management and tactical support for the team.

Piper & Gold has also added the creative strategist role, allowing the agency to marry art and prose, helping clients tell their stories in a visual way. Creative Strategist McNamara was previously the graphic design intern at the Michigan Health and Hospital Association and is currently an undergraduate teaching assistant at Michigan State University. She will graduate from MSU in May with a degree in advertising and a creative concentration.

McNamara recently won two Bronze Awards at the local 2016 ADDYs, the advertising and marketing industry’s largest and most recognized competition. She was also recognized internationally for her designs, traveling to China to accept another Bronze Award in an advertising competition hosted by MSU’s Advertising and PR Department.

“I’m genuinely looking forward to the new capabilities these team members bring, not only to Piper & Gold and our clients, but to our community,” says Kate Snyder, principal strategist and owner of Piper & Gold.

Community involvement and giving back are important values at Piper & Gold. Through their service on committees and boards throughout the Lansing area, as well as their pro bono work with local organizations, the staff strives to make an impact in the community both with their clients and on their downtime.

With an emphasis on nonpartisan government organizations, nonprofits, associations and small businesses, Piper & Gold focuses on traditional public relations with a digital twist. The agency assists clients with communications strategy and planning, media relations, social media and serving as an extension of its clients' teams.
