Evan Vanderwey, branch manager of Churchill Mortgage and president of Cornerstone Wealth Partners, was recently named Affiliate of the Year of the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors (GLAR).
Vanderwey is currently serving as co-chair of the GLAR finance committee and has been a member of the committee since 2012. Vanderwey is a long-time member and supporter of the GLAR and believes that our local realtors have a huge impact on the growth and stability of our region. Evan works with dozens of realtors as their investment advisor and wants to serve in any way he can to help them grow their businesses.
“Evan has been a champion vice chair of the Association Finance Committee. His financial knowledge has proven very valuable time and time again. The Association is very fortunate to have such exceptional volunteers,” said Meghan Webber, CEO of GLAR.
“I have really enjoyed my affiliation with the GLAR and with the realtors who have given me the chance to work with them. There’s almost nothing more energizing that when a GLAR member calls and wants to meet about his or her personal finances and investment strategies. To be able to serve these local heroes is a great honor for me," said Evan Vanderwey, branch manager of Churchill Mortgage and president of Cornerstone Wealth Partners.
Vanderwey is a graduate of Calvin College (BS Accounting) and since 1994 has been working to help his clients build peace of mind around their biggest financial decisions—from their home, to their mortgage, and into retirement. One of eight children, Vanderwey grew up in west Michigan. He and Jenny, his wife of 19 years, now live in Mason, Michigan, with ten children of their own. Vanderwey is active in his church where he serves as an elder.
