National Small Business Week Runs May 1 – May 7
The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) is pleased to support the small business community throughout the Greater Lansing region for National Small Business Week, which runs May 1 – 7, 2016. Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Recognizing the importance of supporting small independently-owned businesses in our community, LRCC encourages residents of the tri-county region to take part in National Small Business Week by visiting your favorite small businesses.
“We are pleased to support National Small Business Week, as more than 87 percent of our membership is comprised of small businesses with less than 50 employees,” said Michelle Rahl, Director of Business Development for the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Nationally, small businesses create two out of three new jobs in the United States. These small businesses are the engine that drives innovation, creates 21st century jobs and increases our global competitiveness."
