Great opportunities for national restaurants to enter tight Lansing-East Lansing markets
CBRE|Martin recently announced that two iconic Lansing businesses, House of Ing and Whiskey Barrel Saloon, are for sale, opening up great opportunities for national restaurants to invest in one of these highly desirable locations.
House of Ing has been serving great Chinese food in Lansing since 1967. This 5,032 SF free standing property comes complete with a full service bar, buffet stations, multiple dining rooms and a full basement for storage and parking for 72 cars. It’s located at 4113 S. Cedar St., just north of Cavanaugh Road near Everett High School and a quarter mile north of Jolly Road.
The Whiskey Barrel Saloon has been the premier country music club in Lansing since 1995. This 11,976 SF property has a 1,040 SF covered patio and over 120 parking spots. It’s located at 410 S. Clippert St. just steps from Michigan State University, right off of US-127 and I-496.
CBRE|Martin Senior Vice President of Brokerage and Retail, Shawn O’Brien, and Senior Associate of Corporate Services, Todd Kosta, are representing the sellers in the transaction. The properties are available for sale through CBRE|Martin.
“This presents a great opportunity for local or national restaurants to enter the Lansing and East Lansing markets. In fact, more than $400 million in development has been planned for the next year within a quarter mile of the Whisky Barrel Saloon location. If I were the decision maker for a national restaurant operator, this location would demand a closer look,” said Kosta.
