As part of its continued commitment to improve access for residents in the community, McLaren Greater Lansing has committed $75,000 in support of Care Free Medical.
“Each and every day we witness the myriad of challenges our community faces with regard to access to care,” said Tom Mee, RN, BSN, MBA, president and chief executive officer of McLaren Greater Lansing. “We are proud to support Care Free Medical’s mission to provide care for the underinsured and uninsured in our community.”
Since its inception in 2004, Care Free Medical, Inc. remains committed to the belief that every individual deserves access to quality, compassionate health care. In conjunction with its mission, Care Free continues to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary and preventative health care, including dental, optometry, and behavioral health services to underserved and underinsured members of the Greater Lansing area.
Care Free Medical’s patients are often Medicaid patients who are unable to find providers, or uninsured patients whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid but not sufficient enough to purchase private insurance.
“We are grateful for the support of McLaren Greater Lansing and commend them on their commitment to improve the health and wellness of our community,” said Mary Anne Sesti, chairperson, Care Free Medical board of directors. “Their support helps ensure that thousands of patients in the Greater Lansing community have access to high-quality medical care.”
Care Free Medical will host a check presentation ceremony during their board of trustees’ meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at 6 p.m. in McLaren Greater Lansing’s Board Room, located at 407 W. Greenlawn Ave., Lansing, MI 48910.
