In order to align care and services to meet the evolving needs of Lansing area seniors, Burcham Hills and Ingham County Medical Care Facility (Dobie Road) have developed a collaboration agreement. The two not-for-profit providers of senior health care and residential services have similar missions and have worked together to coordinate care over the last year.
“Our relationship will enhance outcome driven care delivery services to the consumer,” explains Pam Ditri, executive director of Burcham Hills. “In the ever changing world of health care reform, it is productive and necessary to consider such partnerships.”
“Burcham Hills and Dobie Road are both mission driven organizations,” says Mark Stevens, administrator and chief executive officer of Ingham County Medical Care Facility. “Dobie Road’s mission is ‘Dedicated to Improving Lives.’ Collaborating to align care and services permits each organization to continue to achieve their missions while caring for area seniors in the right place and at the right time.”
The leaders say working together and reaching out to other area health care providers will enhance the two organizations’ ability to meet the needs and expectations of mid-Michigan residents.
“With a combined 214-year history of remarkable care, along with outstanding customer service scores and ‘Star Ratings’ in areas of quality from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, we are a powerful team,” Ditri adds.
