Dickinson Wright attorney Kester So re-elected to Council of the Public Corporation Law Section

Kester K. So, a member in the Lansing office of Dickinson Wright PLLC, was recently re-elected to serve a three-year term on the Council of the Public Corporation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. So is a long-time member of the council and served as its Chairperson in 2005-2006 and, most recently, in 2015-2016. The Public Corporation Law Section includes over 600 in-house and out-house attorneys representing municipalities, agencies and authorities throughout Michigan.
Mr. So is a member of his firm’s management group and specializes in municipal finance, where he has served as bond counsel or underwriter’s counsel on a wide variety of bond issues, including bonds for health care, public power, higher education, student loan, transportation, unemployment insurance, tax increment financing, state revolving fund, environmental, school bond loan fund, State and local building authorities, airports, water and sewer, solid waste disposal and economic and industrial development bonds. He received his A.B. from the University of Michigan with high distinction and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
