Suzanne de Passe, who had a hand in some of the biggest acts to ever hit Motown, is the keynote speaker of Friday’s 42nd annual Kaleidoscope event, sponsored by the Sparrow Foundation at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

“Michigan: You Really Got a Groove On” features a day of informative seminars, exciting speakers, shopping, and a health and beauty emporium.

de Passe’s lunchtime address will focus on her incredible career as a creative assistant to Motown founder Berry Gordy and her rise to become President of Motown Productions, and as an award-winning writer and producer. She discovered the Jackson 5 and brought a number of other artists to Motown, including Lionel Richie and the Commodores and Rick James.

Kaleidoscope’s opening session will feature the ever-popular Professor Elliot Engel, one of the most insightful, personable and entertaining lecturers to come out of academia in the past 50 years. He will talk about one of the iconic families of America’s Gilded Age – the Vanderbilts.

Kaleidoscope is designed to empower, enrich and inspire women of our region. It is organized by Women Working Wonders (W3), a committee of the Sparrow Foundation, and is generously supported by our Presenting Sponsor, the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.

Registration is open at 7: 45 a.m. Friday, with welcoming remarks at 8:30 a.m. For more information, contact 517-364-3619.

Choose Wisely. Choose Sparrow.
