LEAP, the Small Business Development Center, and Foster Swift partnered to host the Nation’s only local USPTO office in Lansing
On September 8, LEAP had the pleasure of partnering with the Small Business Development Center and Foster Swift to host the only local United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)for a half-day seminar for startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs. The seminar provided valuable information about various types of intellectual property protection, the patent process, and various public and private resources available to inventors and entrepreneurs.
“Innovation in the Lansing area is thriving thanks to organizations like LEAP that make it possible for people to realize their dreams. The combined efforts with the USPTO Midwest Regional Office show how important it is for the USPTO to have a regional presence and how valuable our organizations are to the public. We saw individuals who truly benefited from the services and look forward to the future growth in Lansing for innovation,” said Denise Sylvester, Regional Outreach Officer, Elijah J.
