Social media and fake news to be discussed during panel discussion at WMU-Cooley Law School

As “fake news” and social media  quickly become words often used in conversation and heard on the daily news, WMU-Cooley Law School and the Michigan Capital Chapter, American Society for Public Administration are hosting the panel discussion “Social Media the Ethics of Fake News.” The conversation, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 5:30 p.m., March 22, at the law school’s Lansing campus.

WMU-Cooley President and Dean Don LeDuc will present the opening remarks and the panel discussion will be moderated by Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency Senior Policy Advisor Meegan Holland. Panelists include:

  • Martha Moore, professor and auxiliary dean, WMU-Cooley
  • Emily Lawler, Capitol reporter, Mlive
  • John Lindstrom, publisher, Gongwer News Service
