Capital Area Michigan Works! is building its staff with the hire of Jay LaNew as the business services and apprenticeship liaison.

LaNew holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Grand Valley State University. Previously, he worked for CAMW!’s Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program as a talent specialist before working in his most recent position as a TAA State Coordinator for the State of Michigan Talent Investment Agency. As the business services and apprenticeship liaison, LaNew will be focusing heavily on apprenticeship outreach and resource development.

"I'm looking forward to rejoining the CAMW! team and supporting our efforts in business services and apprenticeship expansion," LaNew said.

Capital Area Michigan Works! aims to provide a variety of services to both job seekers and employers. The diverse skillset of staff members like LaNew allows CAMW! to offer unique programs, helping groom talent in Greater Lansing.

“We are so fortunate to have LaNew rejoin the CAMW! team,” said Carrie Rosingana, Capital Area Michigan Works! chief operating officer. “His professional capability and experience will help us continue to grow our dynamic apprenticeship programs, directly benefiting companies and the individuals they serve.”
