The non-profit organization will put on five events for Lansing summer interns across the city

Showcasing the greater Lansing region as a talent destination, Lansing 5:01 has partnered with over 23 area employers, organizations, economic development agencies and talent stakeholders to highlight dynamic living, working and playing opportunities.

“In 2017, we are bringing even more to the Lansing area through our series of five events. We are partnering with the region’s businesses to bring over 500 interns out to see what Lansing has to offer,” said Chris Sell, founder of Lansing 5:01. “Ultimately, Lansing 5:01 and our sponsors are looking to retain and attract young professionals in the region, our programming is a collaboration driven by young professionals, for young professionals.”

Lansing 5:01 will kick off the first of the five events with an intern-exclusive event on June 1st. Throughout the summer, interns and others are invited to attend the other events which include a concert under the bridge at Shiawassee Street and the Lansing River Trail featuring The Accidentals, a take-over of the former Corner Bar for a “Lansing-House” event during the first night of Common Ground Musical Festival and a special fashion show at the Capital Regional International Airport. The series of events will wrap up with an intern-exclusive event at the Old Town Marquee on August 3rd.
