Convention & Visitors Bureau Hires Two Staff Members, Promotes Two Others

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) is pleased to announce it has hired two new full-time staff members and has promoted two current members of the organization’s executive staff.

Corri Harvey, CTA has accepted the position of Sales Coordinator. Harvey brings over five years of local experience in hotel management and sales, working most recently with the East Lansing Courtyard by Marriott and is also a graduate of the Davenport College School of Business. Harvey’s role with the GLCVB will be focused on supporting the efforts of the destination sales team.

Lauren Williams, CTA has been named Manager of Graphic Design & Content Marketing. Williams comes to the GLCVB from Arbor Financial Credit Union in Kalamazoo and is a recent graduate of Alma College with a Bachelor’s degree in New Media Studies. Williams will assist the marketing department with numerous graphic design, social media and web content projects.

“We are pleased to welcome Corri and Lauren to the team,” said Jack Schripsema, President and CEO of the GLCVB. “These two new and talented individuals will serve the CVB well.”

Julie Pingston, CMP, CTA, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer and David Buckenberger, CMP, GMS, CTA Senior Vice President of Business Development were promoted and given new titles to better reflect their leadership roles in the partnership between the GLCVB and the Lansing Center.
