Highfields is offering a free Community Outreach Event to the public on Tuesday, September 19th at the Boji Tower in Lansing.

The event is called “Crucial Conversations” and will feature a panel of two of Highfields’ experts: Tim Monroe, Vice President, and Lara Hewson, Director of Quality and Education.

The panel will discuss how to talk to kids about what’s going on in the world today. Potential topics include Charlottesville, North Korea, and the media. Attendees are encouraged to participate and ask questions.

“It is important to talk with children about the critical issues going on around us,” said Highfields’ CEO/President, Brian Philson. “We look forward to helping individuals learn to have those crucial conversations.”

“Crucial Conversations” is free to attend and a continental breakfast will be provided. The event will run from 7:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. on the 23rd Floor of the Boji Tower, 124 W. Allegan St., Lansing.  Please RSVP at www.highfields.org/events.
